“I was blown away by the turnout we had.  All the support was incredible to me. I can’t thank you all enough.  Our goal was to raise $20,000 for their 20th year.  Not only did we hit our goal but we surpassed it because of your spirit of generosity.  We raised $22,700!  I’m eternally grateful for all of your support.”   – Tommy Bickimer

2017 marks the 20-year anniversary of The Promise of Learning Foundation.  To celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Promise of Learning Foundation, Bickimer Homes hosted a golf tournament to not only help raise awareness and money for the foundation, but to celebrate the efforts of Tom and Mary Bickimer.  “My parents started the foundation 20 years ago.  They started The Promise of Learning not for attention, not to get their names in the paper, but because they had the ability to help people in need”, says Tommy Bickimer, President of Bickimer Homes.  “Though they don’t want the attention, they deserve the appreciation and thanks for the countless thousands of people they have helped over the last 20 years.  That is why my brothers and sisters wanted to put on a golf tournament this year.  We wanted to honor my parents for all the work that they have done the last 20 years.”  Golf teams from trade partners, vendors, suppliers, friends and family enjoyed a beautiful afternoon day to play 18 holes of golf at Sunflower Hills Golf Course and show their support.

Bickimer Homes would like to say, “Thank You” to all of the sponsors who helped make the 2017 Promise of Learning Golf Tournament a success!  Along with the teams of players, we could not have put the tournament on without our wonderful sponsors.  Your generosity is appreciated, and your donations will continue to help the mission of The Promise of Learning Foundation–  Providing time, talent, and financial assistance to help underprivileged youth realize their potential.
